Located in downtown Sarasota, the DeMarcay Project is set in a new condo building that incorporates the historic façade of an old hotel preserved by the city. This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo required a thoughtful design approach to maximize a smaller living space.
With 10-foot-high ceilings and expansive windows, the design focused on accentuating vertical space. Sculptural light fixtures were chosen to serve as both functional and artistic focal points, enhancing the overall ambiance. While the casework was preselected by the developers, I worked carefully to design around these materials, ensuring a cohesive and polished look.
Spanning a total of 1,250 sqft, neutral tones were used throughout to ensure a timeless aesthetic that reflects the clients’ enduring taste. By selecting furniture and décor that balance functionality and scale, this project achieves a harmonious and sophisticated interior.
